Supporting The Community We Live In..

Eye Donation

So far we have arranged 29 eye donations and the eyes were donated through Sankar Nethralaya, Chennai to various needy persons. A pair of eyes donated by a dead person helps four needy persons in various ways.

Blood Donation

Our Lion District 324J has established an ultra modern BLOOD BANK in Sunnambukolathur near Medavakkam, Chennai 600100. Ln Arun Bhattacharjee is heading the project every year and conducts the Camps in and around Selaiyur, Chennai 600073.

A Sapling a Day

Ln P. Mukunthan is the project leader for this project. He started this project in July, 2023 and distributes the seedlings to the public every day. There is a good demand for the seedlings from public and people contact him for seedlings of their choice. He procures and supplies to them. The trust is reimbursing the cost then and there.

Annadanam

The trust and the Lions club give primary importance to feeding the poor and donate 50 kg of rice to VALLALAR PEETAM at Anandapuram and Sundaram colony in Tambaram East. We supplement their efforts. They supply the lunch to out patients at Tambaram GH and Chest and pulmonary Diseases Hospital. In addition we provide food to the inmates of Sarada Sakthi peetam, Rajnikanth old age home and Deaf and Dumb School Tambaram Sanatorium on important days of Birthdays, Marriage anniversary and Death anniversaries of lion members and others.

Education

The trust is registered under FOREIGN CONTRIBUTIONS REGULATIONS ACT ( FCRA ). We in association with HOPE3 Trust and SEEEDS Trust, USA have disbursed more than ₹16.00 lakhs as Education Assistance to deserving students identified by the respective trusts for college education.. The beneficiaries are mostly Government and Government aided schools in Tamilnadu. In addition the trust is also helping poor students for payment of college fees in a small way.

Pet Project

The District Governor Ln V. Bajendrababu has undertaken a noble task of constructing 50 houses to IRULAR Community a nomadic tribals in Tamilnadu. Our trust through the District 324J has contributed ₹7.75 Lakhs for construction of three houses out of 50 houses.
